Women Physician Group Trips
Upcoming trips
South Africa 2027 | January 30-February 12, 2027 & February 15-28, 2027
This trip was designed to visit some of the most iconic destinations in Southern Africa, spanning 4 different countries in total, providing a diverse array of activities and wildlife viewing opportunities. I will be traveling with you the entire time, ensuring the entire trip runs smoothly.
The first trip will be January 30-February 12, 2027, and will be for women physicians and a traveling companion of their choosing, essentially being a couples trip
The second trip will be February 15-28, 2027 and will be for women physicians and their women friends, making this a women’s only trip.
The trip begins with 4 nights in Cape Town, South Africa with a stay at the well-positioned Victoria & Albert Hotel, right in the famous Cape Town V&A Waterfront. During our time in Cape Town we will be visiting Table Mountain, doing a walking food tour that gives amazing historical context to the different pan-African food we will be eating, a full day tour of the Cape of Good Hope, including a visit to Boulder’s Beach to see the African Penguins, and then having a wonderful 13 course dinner our last evening where we will start with drumming and then be entertained by local jazz musicians
We then fly to Livingstone, Zambia, where we will stay 3 nights at the Royal Livingstone Hotel. This beautiful hotel is located on the Zambezi River, and is well known for having resident giraffes and Zebras that live on the property. During our stay in Victoria Falls we will be doing a tour of both the Zambian and Zimbabwe side of the falls, a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River to see the amazing wildlife that call the entrance to Victoria Falls their home, and then doing a full day tour in Chobe National Park in Botswana, where we will have the chance to do a river and land based safari to hopefully spot lions, leopards, and large herds of elephants.
We then fly to Kruger Park, and take a quick transport to the MalaMala Game Reserve where we will have 4 nights at the iconic MalaMala Safari Camp. We will have twice daily game drives to spot the Big 5, and so much more. MalaMala is one of the first game reserves that was established in South Africa that continues to operate to this day. It has a prime position in the Sabi Sands, directly adjacent to Kruger Park and containing the Sand River, which accounts for the amazing animal sightings that are not seen anywhere else in the world.
We will then fly to Johannesburg or Cape Town to take a departure flight the same day we leave MalaMala
You will be flying into Cape Town and out of Johannesburg or Cape Town, so you want your departure flights to be after 8 pm on the day of departure.
*This is for women physicians, but if you have a non-physician women friend that would like to join we would love to include them. For the couples trip, this can be any companion that you would like to travel with, so not limited to romantic partners.
